well, what do i say to this? jehovah said, he will have an organization. she wants me to go to the meetings and read literature to become more focused. yeah right! she also says that the apostate literature i read, may not have all the truth. i said that it came from an ex governing body member. (crisis of conscience and in search of christian freedom - raymond franz) i said the wbts would sue if they found fault in his words. she adamantly stated that they wouldn't - because it's not up to them to defend themselves, that vengeance will be jehovah's.... she said she read that somewhere. so is this true? would they sue? any help would be appreciated.

can you null and void the baptism. on the grounds that the change of words was not explained beforehand? and the significance is not explained either? jws lead you to believe you are baptising for god and jesus not the wbts?

A WAY TO GET THE SOCIETY NEGATIVE MEDIA ATTENTION!
by NaruNaruChan inso i e mailed bill o reilly, a foxnews reporter who is very opinionated, and told him about how anti-american the org.
is cuz he hates that kind of stuff and exposes it on his show... so if we all e-mail him, and he does read his e-mail, maybe we can get another punch in the apostate time-card regarding the pedophilia issue and the general crappiness of jws during the war.
we all know that they'r eout there more than ever because they think people need to hear from them during the war, and fox gets a lot of publicity... so c'mon guys, e-mail bill o reilly about how jws are anti-american, let's get them in the news!.

that's just plain dangerous right now. you gotta feel for jw's. they think it is the truth. they think this is the end. so they go out... now, nationalism is running high, very high. people see o'reillys show...a witness comes to the door and another news story comes on at 11 featuring not the wbts hurt or dead but the jw who doesn't know the crimes of the wbts.

i got a not so unexpected call today
by free will inwell, about a month ago, i had to have a talk with the elders.
primarily due to my lack of meeting attendance.
i decided to make an effort and attend, after about two sunday meetings, i found out about the un and haven't been back since.

thanks for all the support guys. it's nice to hear that i'm in control. even though at times it's easy to forget. to qwerty, no, i'm in the states. to ashitaka, i never thought about them putting the burden on themselves. that concept was foreign to me. sort of still is. i guess it will take more time and more reflection to get rid of the guilt and the blame i place on myself. i know the jw mindset is still there. but i'm trying to break free. thanks again to all of you. this forum helps me to understand myself, why i think the way i do, and gives me the support i need to keep on keepin on. oh oh...someones knocking...i don't dare look.... yikes!

well, about a month ago, i had to have a talk with the elders. primarily due to my lack of meeting attendance. i decided to make an effort and attend, after about two sunday meetings, i found out about the un and haven't been back since. it's been about a month now. lo and behold, they called me today to say they wanted another "talk". this after i told another jw about what changed my views. at any rate, they suggested a day, i said that wouldn't be good. i told them i'd call them. but, i don't have any intention of doing so. why can't i just fade out? i'm wondering if the talk has anything to do with being df'd. i only care because i do have family in, and i would'nt want to burden them with the decision to shun me or not. oh well, time will tell.

"We wouldn't know the truth"
by RunningMan insometimes when i point out the societys poor track record, particularly their many changes and errors, i am faced with the argument that all of these changes were in the past.
now, because of the refining of their beliefs, they are all correct.
if jesus is present, then he must have already come.

Why do you still believe?
by flower insomeone posted on another thread a comment that i found interesting.
something like once you find out the truth about the 'truth' its impossible to stop there and not question everything as far as religion and the existance of god.
i'm sure most of us that were raised in the watchterror org and have found out that we were decieved our whole lives have examined this subject at some point.

i was raised as a jw. however, i'm inclined to believe that it is not the truth. i agree with your comment about the zeal to know everything. where to start? so many different ideas and i don't want to blindly believe in just anything. at any rate,i'm not sure i'm ready to give up the idea of god and his word the bible. i've attempted to find a bible that i feel is closely translated from the original. but, i haven't found one yet. i plan on finding it, reading it, and making my decisions then. until then, though, i'm happy to have come to a new understanding about religion. i'm hoping to serve the god i know with my heart. but, i can't shake the feeling that i've turned my back on jehovah. until, at least, i start listing all the hypocrises (?). even then i know i could be wrong, man is you know. well that's my two cents....
